The God we serve is not a weak God; God is not limited by circumstances, situations or people. I have learned, in order to live better, more energetic and more vibrant we need to stop dwelling on what others say we are and start listening to who God says we are. God says, “You are my child; and that is what you are (1 John 3:1).” We all have things that come against us, things that cause us to get down and discouraged. But take courage from God’s word. Let me encourage you once again with what you already know deep down in your heart, “You are God’s child! You are strong in the Lord!” The scripture goes on to say, “When Christ is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.”
Here is my question, “Do you recognize who you are?” “Do you see the potential God has stored in you?” Sometimes, life reduces you but the Creator of the Universe always wants you to be increasing, especially in spirituality. Our busyness and difficulties are keeping us from knowing and understanding ourselves. Perhaps in fellowship with each other and communion with God we will be better able to appreciate who we are. Why don’t you spend some time with us to know who you really are? This is my personal invitation to a rediscovery of your true self through your participation in worship, fellowship, stewardship and any other activities in this congregation. I believe as we learn to turn ourselves always toward the Divine presence, so will we come to understand the goodness of God, and we will be motivated to express this love through relationship with ourselves and with others as well.
Again, the God we serve is not a weak God; God is strong and we are strong in God. Start recognizing who you really are. Call on God! And I believe, no matter what you are facing right now, God is there for you. I want you to know we are praying for you and God is with you. No matter what, always know that God loves you.
