MINISTER'S MESSAGE AUGUST 2026

I wanted to get this out to everyone before the rest of the month disappears on us.

To begin with, I greatly enjoy August because it is my birth month.  I don't

necessarily enjoy it because it means I'm getting older.  It's just a great time to spend with friends.

This can also be a time when we shift into a slower gear.  We are still having warm weather and it is vacation time for a lot of people.

Too, it's great for harvest foods like sweet corn, berries, tomatoes and melons.

I also like attending some of the outdoor festivals. And we cannot forget the warm evening walks.

September, with its increased pace, is usually too soon waiting at the door.

I welcome our combined worship services at Coldwater and Eady. While we do not have overflowing numbers, we do enjoy a great  sense of both humour and community.

So, may we continue to enjoy these August blessings  while they're still in town.
